Letting go of stress through vibration?

Tune your body with tuning forks.

Yes, it is possible: to tune your own body with tuning forks.

At first, I was sceptical. Still, I had already purchased fourteen different tuning forks; I want to investigate everything myself and especially remain open-minded.

The real test came after the loss of my cat Flanelle. I experienced an enormous pressure on my chest and a dull heaviness over my entire body. I took my tuning forks out of the cupboard and placed them on my sternum. And yes, it provided relief. To the extent that I did it for 30 minutes a day, for a week. A week became a month, a month became a year. In the meantime, it has become a regular part of my system and I use them at least four times a week.

The science of resonance

When you let a specific vibration resonate through your body, your body simply will not be able to hold onto this tension. It will automatically respond by releasing excess tension. A consistent vibration even regulates your nervous system. It brings your system back into balance and literally shakes the stressful tension out of your body.

Tuning forks therefore have an influence on both the nervous system and the tissue of our body and can even affect the water balance. Water is an excellent conductor of sound, with a speed of about 1500 meters per second. Since our body is made up of 70 to 80% water, it can serve as the perfect resonance instrument, making the transport of blood, lymph, and other fluids easier. Think of it as the effect of a pebble thrown into a still pond: the vibration spreads in perfect circles throughout your entire body. Have you ever seen what classical music or specific frequencies do to water? It begins to vibrate beautifully and harmoniously. The exact same thing happens in your cells.

The power of bone conduction

But did you know that your bones conduct sound even better than water? That is also how your hearing works. You hear through your ears, but also through bone conduction. Think of the latest headphones: you no longer place them over your ears, but directly onto your skull. That vibration is transmitted instantly to your brain. With that concept in mind, it makes total sense that a tuning fork placed on your bones is conducted rapidly throughout your entire body.

In fact, it works very simply: wherever stress or an emotional block is held in your tissue, there is a tense "charge." The flow has stopped there. Read: your blood and lymph are stagnating. If you apply a consistent, high-quality vibration to your body, you force that tissue, that fascia, those muscles, and those fluids to vibrate along once again. The harmonious vibration dissolves the block and restores the natural structure. As simple as that. The path is cleared for flow, resulting in a deeply relaxing effect on your nervous system.

Little vitamins in Hertz

I see specific frequencies as "little vitamins" that remind our system of our "factory settings" of a healthy mind in a healthy body.

  • Shortage of vitamin 136.10 Hz? Then your body will experience a lot of stress in the chest area and your breathing will be laboured. This frequency is linked to the lung meridian from Chinese Medicine. It frees up the chest area and ensures that you immediately "land" back in yourself. Ideal if you are constantly in your brain or walking around with your head in the clouds; after a few minutes you feel more relaxed again. It feels like a warm, deep introspection.
  • Shortage of vitamin 126.22 Hz? Then you are looking for more inner strength. This frequency brings you into alignment and back to your centre. I work a lot with people who want to "express" themselves, and this vibration - which is linked to the "SUN" - is precisely the key for that. The sun never holds back with its rays, no matter how many clouds are present. Well, that is what this vibration does for you. You dare to stand in your power again, you dare to shine.
  • Shortage of 147.85 Hz? Then you lack energetic protection and feel that your boundaries are fading. This frequency is one of my personal favourites that I truly recommend to anyone who is highly sensitive (HSP). It helps you to protect yourself energetically and strengthens your field, so you absorb fewer external stimuli.
  • Do you suffer from digestive problems and are you often too hard on yourself? Perhaps it is time to allow yourself a bit more softness. For this, there is the 210.42 Hz tuning fork ideal. It is linked with the "moon energy": yin, nourishing. By placing this tuning fork on specific points in the abdominal region, you will notice that your belly relaxes and your digestion functions better. As a result, you will experience a sense of calm and your stomach and abdomen will feel more relaxed.

I admit, it seems a bit like magic, but actually we have just forgotten this ‘knowledge’ a little.

Tuning acupuncture

Additionally, you can also use it as “tuning acupuncture”. The body has 365 acupuncture points, and all of them can be treated with a “tone” of your choice. Some tones are more focused on joint issues, some more on breathing, and some can even free your mind.

MTV Talks

Be sure to attend an MTV Talks if you want to know more about this. On a regular basis, Kris and I share our passion for health, sound, frequencies, mindset, body therapy in "themed evenings", accompanied by a snack and drink in our Mind The Voice Bar. You can find the dates at "Events".

Tip of the week

The tip of this week is to pay more attention to the sounds and music you listen to, as this can have more influence on your body than you originally thought. It is important to listen to your body and discover which music helps you to relax, heal, and revitalise. By choosing the right music, you can achieve a deeper level of well-being and come into harmony with yourself and the world around you.

Voilà, here are some more did-you-know facts and food for thought!
